“The month of December was full of fun, laughter, and tears. This month was very eye opening to me. The holidays are hard for everyone, but are a little harder some. This month I got a chance to go out and deliver food boxes and Christmas gifts for thirteen families (29 children) that needed a little extra help this holiday season. I can’t express how warming it is seeing the parent’s faces and how grateful they are upon receiving their things. Some parents had tears in their eyes and couldn’t stop telling me thank you. The moments like these most people take for granted, but in that moment I knew Communities In Schools is where I should be! If it wasn’t for Communities In Schools, so many would be without, and I am very blessed to be a part of a great group like this one who takes care of families no matter what it might be!”
